Installation • Re: Installed proprietary nvidia drivers, black screen on reboot

Reiterating my issues, because I have tried a few other methods to no avail:

I followed the tutorial found on linuxconfig.org (https://linuxconfig.org/debian-13-nvidi ... stallation), but after installing nvidia-driver & nvidia-driver-dkms, once i reboot it is still just a black screen. I had also tried purging the nouveau drivers first and then installing the non-free drivers, still the same result. dkms status says that everything is installed correctly. Before installing the drivers, it suggests the package nvidia-cups-mps to me, as well as other recommended packages as libcuda1:i386 and nvidia-driver-libs:i386. Was I supposed to install those as well? At this point I'm just trying every combination of options to get this working. It doesn't give me any errors if anything is conflicting or anything of the sort as to why it won't boot once I restart. No matter what I change it keeps giving me the same result.
