Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding: You say you need to access your laptop from remote, right? Because your laptop is running the ssh SERVER - I'm not talking about the client. Please excuse me if you know that, I'm not sure how well versed you are and installing ssh server by mistake can easily happen when using the Debian standard installer. Running the ssh server is kind of a dangerous thing to do with typical laptop usage. And from the log messages the ssh server daemon is not configured correctly. Also you probably installed fail2ban for a reason but it is not running (which I consider essential for ssh server if the device ever connects directly to a public network).
