I followed the instructions and installed, but Wayland (and therefore Waydroid) unfortunately doesn't run under my XFCE desktop environment.
I'm not going to switch away from XFCE, so I guess that Waydroid is not for me.
I'll keep looking for other Android emulators that might run under Trixie and under XFCE.
