In re OP:
My Mate weather applet works after a fresh, bare metal reinstall of Deb 13.x (for any of several issues), then the weather applet fails some weeks in, never to return. No matter if I choose a different airport, never works until reinstall.
Initially, I took it as being caused by the source of the data, a local regional airport, blocking me from the data, as I had set the frequency to every 15 minutes. But the decision to stop would thus be client side for other sources to also fail, so I'm unsure.
Possibly a client side problem?
