I have not yet installed Debian 13, I've been testing everything on a USB drive flashed with the Live KDE iso to make sure that everything works before I decide to switch. It runs smoothly and as expected, the only issue I've encountered is that random things make the entire screen (and cursor) freeze from anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds every couple minutes. It's a frequent issue I'm unable to predict, and one I haven't been able to reproduce either.
It froze from me opening Firefox, it froze from me minimizing all open windows, and it could barely play a single second of a Youtube video without freezing for several minutes and wouldn't unfreeze until I paused it. The audio continued playing while it was frozen. Or sometimes it would just freeze for no apparent reason. The only time it wouldn't freeze was when I wasn't doing anything particularly heavy, like opening settings or using the terminal.
I'm certain it could be an Nvidia driver issue, So I tried to look into installing the non-free drivers from Debian's repo, but from what I've read here: https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers

I wasn't able to find etc/apt/sources.list, I assume because I haven't actually installed Debian yet. I'm still unsure if this is actually a driver issue or something else entirely, I'm still very much a beginner, the answer could be staring me right in the face and I would have no idea. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.Make sure that components contrib, non-free and non-free-firmware are enabled at least for the base (bookworm, trxie, fortky etc) and -security suites in your /etc/apt/sources.list file. For example for Trixie you should have at least entries similar to the two below: (the order of components does not matter)
