Beginners Questions • [Software] Two problems after installation (NTFS and Firefox)

Hi, I'm entirely new to Debian (switching from Windows), and I've run into two problems since installing:

1) I have three partitions on my disk. I deleted my Windows partition during installation, and then installed Debian 13 there. The other two NTFS partitions I use for (personal) data and multimedia. The latter is mounted (under 'media', according to Disks), the former isn't. I tried solving it by following these instructions (using NTFS-3G and FUSE), but then I chickened out, afraid I was going to break something. Is there some easier way? 'Repair filesystem' in Disks didn't work.
2) Something went wrong during the Firefox synchronisation process. It took ages, but my open tabs never showed up (maybe because of the ESR, whereas I had just the plain release on Windows). As I had saved the FF profile, I tried copypasting the files into the folder under home>name>.mozilla, but to no avail. Tried uninstalling Firefox, hoping to re-install the non-ESR version, but all to no avail. Is there any way I can restore the old profile with the open tabs?

Many thanks in advance for any tips/help you can offer. I know my way around Windows (more or less), but I've just entered the steep part of the Linux learning curve.
