I run the upgrade every 6 hours that the server syncs, provided that I am not sleeping at that time. On my end of the world, where we are at gmt+2, those hours are 5am, 11am, 5pm and 11pm. And this is apt's history log from yesterdays failure

Code:

Start-Date: 2025-02-23 17:19:00Commandline: apt-get dist-upgradeInstall: linux-kbuild-6.12.16:amd64 (6.12.16-1, automatic), linux-image-6.12.16-amd64:amd64 (6.12.16-1, automatic), linux-headers-6.12.16-amd64:amd64 (6.12.16-1, automatic), linux-headers-6.12.16-common:amd64 (6.12.16-1, automatic)Upgrade: linux-headers-amd64:amd64 (6.12.15-1, 6.12.16-1), linux-image-amd64:amd64 (6.12.15-1, 6.12.16-1)Error: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)End-Date: 2025-02-23 17:19:28
Anyway, as already posted, the installation of pahole solves the issue, so it is time for someone to report it as a grave bug on dkms and let the devs fix it. Sorry for not responding earluer, but I have a minor health issue. Many thanks to everyone who replied to confirm it.

---edit
As it seems, someone did file the bug report for pahole but against kbuild.
