I am not sure how to use the styles, but those do sound interesting. It seems that many of the YouTube Draw content tutorials are quite old but maybe I can find some Draw "styles" videos.
I found I could use a custom gallery to store rectangles with different transparency levels for highlighting, as there is no highlight control in Draw. I added empty rectangular and ellipse controls to my custom gallery for outlining. I added horizontal and vertical curved lines with arrow tips. These lines tend to lose the curve effect when manipulating them. I found I can hit F4 to view the Position and Size dialog to change the Rotation Angle of the line, which does help with curvature when manipulating the line.
I am quite happy with the region export options.
