rEFInd is my new friend. Tried for hours to get systemd-boot working with no luck. eRFInd worked so effortlessly that it was almost scary.Grub works fine for multi-boot. I use it on four computers and several multi-boot VMs. If you don't like it, take a look at rEFInd.
