Please forgive me if I miss spell anything. I am drunk and getting drunker by the hour, but I have had a very tough week. I work in a kitchen and I was the only grill cook for half my shift, my coworker stole my
, and on top of everything, I come home that night, attempt to update Linux Mint and royally screw everything up beyond any point of return. The very lovely people over on the Mint forums suggested I boot up a live USB, but sadly thats now how I roll.
In my short life I have had a few moves from state to state, and each time I left my old baggage behind me. Including things I cherish dearly. Sometimes I regret not holding onto these things tighter, but at the end of the day I forget about that one painting I made, or the old blanket I left behind or the creaky old bed frame.
So, like a nomad, I left without a single bit of music or art ive made, without any of my text files or downloads, and went to sow greener pastures on Debian.
I highly doubt I would have been able to recover anytthing, considering the circumstance. But I am happy to be on Debian! Its my second day using it, and despite one or two, almost nonexistent hiccups its been absolutely amazing. Certainly more hands on than Mint. I dont feel like my hands are being held quite as much. It makes me a tad nervous but im happy to have evolved past my training wheels!
Is there anything I should know about Debian, as someone who moved from Mint?
