I wouldn't buy a laptop for so much money honestly, they really suck compared to a desktop, and especially one you can build yourself. (especially since it's uefi update is locked to windows only, that is totally unreliable)

premade computers always come with a caveat, that they don't make you aware of in advance, and you end up feeling robbed

the best is always to build your own computer, and research/find all the different parts on your own

for games, linux has great performance, but, has issues in several areas, mainly we have to use low settings, then the graphics drivers are lacking compared to windows, and I can't even recommend to use the nvidia card/driver

after learning to game well on linux, there's no reason to go back to windows in my view.
Yes, I have a desktop ready to build, but no where to put it. It has 6 fans, it's built for gaming and a lot cheaper to build it yourself. Yes, premade desktops are junk. Collecting dust until make space for it. Still needs a video card, current is about 7+ generations old. Laptop burn out after a period and too $$$$$ to fix them. Agree on all points. Note, laptops are only a recent addition, before I just built them myself. No builtin video camera or microphone to deal with like on a laptop.

To all, I checked the website, only a bios update is available. You can do the update in the bios. Note, I use an updated clamscan on the bios file before it's installed.
