Hello,

Thanks for sharing your Bash script. While it could be useful in certain situations, it's too simple to be considered for packaging. However, you could try doing it as an exercise. If you wish, you can open a thread about packaging a shell script in the 'Programming' sub-forum.

The script you posted is a user command, not a service. Therefore, it is not suitable for running as a system service.

Please note that the xinetd daemon is no longer installed by default on Debian systems, as it has been superseded by systemd in many ways.
