What and how you are doing that? In a GUI? On a blank screen with only a command prompt?
yes in a GUI. when imaging Debian 13, there were 2 or more options to chose from how you login by default
- GUI via typing in both username/pw
- GUI with username being selected by default, and you simply click on it and then type in the pw in the PW field below it
I chose #2. so the username is always there when Debian loads. it is the only one to chose from since i have no other account. believe me, no Shift key was pressed. it is some sort of a Debian bug. hopefully it never comes back again.
