Yes, with a Debian live image the printer works.

Interesting. That suggests something is broken in your install that is not in a live session.

Looking at the topic again, I noticed this error:

Code:

E [15/Nov/2025:21:17:48 +0100] [CGI] Unable to create PPD file: Could not poll sufficient capability info from the printer (ipps://EPSON%20WF-2630%20Series._ipps._tcp.local/, ipps://EPSON18823B.local:631/ipp/print) via IPP!E [15/Nov/2025:21:18:02 +0100] [CGI] Unable to create PPD file: Could not poll sufficient capability info from the printer (ipps://EPSON%20WF-2630%20Series._ipps._tcp.local/, ipps://EPSON18823B.local:631/ipp/print) via IPP!E [15/Nov/2025:21:18:02 +0100] copy_model: empty PPD file

Could it be this problem? Seems to fit: happens after an update to CUPS.

Do you have systemd-resolved installed by any chance? Could it be a conflict with that?

What is the output of the following?

Code:

$ apt policy systemd-resolved

Code:

$ host -t SOA local
