As you are guite new Debian user, think the easiest method would be reinstall. Might sound scary, but installing Debian is some gazillion times easier than installing windows, I have worked as a computer technician in the past.

@arzgi I've done the same thing a few times in the past. Reinstalling can be done in less time than trying to track down an issue sometimes. Glad to see you've recommend it as a possible choice.

If you are going to reinstall you may also want to take a look at MX Linux. They have many tools that come with their distro one of which is an nvidia installer. I'm using it right now and have had no issues at all. I've tried every method posted in this forum but none have allowed me to successfully run nvidia in Debian (outside of just using nouveau). For some reason the method used by MX works.
