1. GM107GL is Maxwell family. Codename NV110.

2. GM107GL [Quadro K2200] [10DE:13BA] is supported by NVidia driver version 535.247.01 according to /usr/share/doc/nvidia-driver/README.txt.gz of this driver version. Thus it should still even be supported by Debian 13.3. I don't know your exact error. It's possible that Wayland is being used instead of XOrg. It could be that Wayland was started and that's causing the issue. Unfortunately, you also haven't provided any error messages from your XOrg server.

Something like this when using nouveau:

I'm sure you want to use the Nvidia driver rather than nouveau. However, regarding nouveau, you can significantly increase its stability by adding the option NoAccel to the nouveau driver section in the X configuration file. This disables hardware acceleration, meaning the CPU has to handle all rendering in software. While this reduces performance, the desktop is usually usable as long as no demanding 3D applications are running. If you need 3D acceleration, the Nvidia drivers are essentially required for stable operation.Anyway, booting to the previous kernel, I get 1920x1080 back, but it's using nouveau (which I worked hard to remove, since it was unstable, crashing the desktop at random intervals).
Something like this when using nouveau:
Code:
Section "Device" Identifier "NvidiaGraphics" Driver "nouveau" Option "NoAccel" "1"EndSectionStatistics: Posted by Borg — 2026-01-10 17:04
