We have added an addendum 'by subscribing to the forum, you are implicitly allowing the Debian Forum to share links to your relevant messages with the social platforms listed above for the aforementioned purposes. Please note that these links sometimes can not be deleted from the social platforms due to their public nature at a later date', to the new registration agreement which now points to all of the forums rules. Rules/GuidelinesThe Forums Social Media Link Sharing:
Each week toward the goal of sharing the good word, knowledge, and community here on the forums, we link some of the How-Tos, Documentation, or Events threads with a summary and a link to that thread on a few social media channels.
The format is pretty simple and can be seen in the [Best-Of] Threads for the week thread in the same format:We share links back to the forums on:[Solved] Can I check if Linux supports device ID code?
"[...] if the firmware file is missing from the Debian repositories, you can install it manually from the upstream source, any way."
viewtopic.php?t=164140Our goal is to share Debian with the larger community, attract well informed new members here and have a good time doing it. Those external sources are and may also come in handy if the forums get bogged down again and we cannot make an announcement from here.

The Forums Imported RSS feeds:
We are also importing 2 new external RSS feeds in the 'Technology and Industry' subforum with updates with feeds from lwn.net and from Planet Debian Debian Developer Blogs.
- lwn.net is one of the fasted F/LOSS reporters on the internet with focus on security and kernel updates and more. Consider a subscription to support their vast work.
- Planet Debian blogs are from Debian Developers, the blogs share what they are working on, what they are doing, sometimes what they are reading. It is a nice insight into Debian from both a user and techhound perspective.
We have 2 long running feeds in the Debian News subforum.
The Debian Micronews service featuring small project updates not suited for announcements.
The Official Debian Blog featuring project news and announcements.
