"unrar-free" (works with right-click extract here...) complained about "-e" not being valid. Switched to "unrar" (doesn't seem to work at all) and...

THIS is why people "fear" the command line. It even "tells" me what to do, but none of it works or makes sense to me. I don't know what hieroglyphics I need to input do this. Tried about 5 ways of formatting it with/without "op<path>", etc. etc. etc. Gave up. Thanks anyway.

Code:

$ unrar -e ~/Desktop/Edge.rarUNRAR 7.12 freeware      Copyright (c) 1993-2025 Alexander RoshalUsage:     unrar <command> -<switch 1> -<switch N> <archive> <files...>               <@listfiles...> <path_to_extract/><Commands>  e             Extract files without archived paths**deleted for brevity
...with attempt at a destination path

Code:

$ unrar -e ~/Desktop/Edge.rar /home/username/Downloads/UNRAR 7.12 freeware      Copyright (c) 1993-2025 Alexander RoshalCannot open /home/username/Downloads/.rarNo such file or directoryUsage:     unrar <command> -<switch 1> -<switch N> <archive> <files...>               <@listfiles...> <path_to_extract/>**deleted for brevity
