1. So, I seem to be having trouble with Engrampa archiver (I hate xarchiver, don't know if it would work either) when extracting RAR files. Mainly with the GUI. It will flicker open then just close. I ran it from a terminal and there were no errors/warnings at all.
2. If I right click and "extract to...", it works, but that's a pain when you just want one item out of a large archive.
3. Tried installing 7zip-rar, unrar free and unrar nonfree. Each behaves slightly different, like one pops up an "unsupported format" message, one just "crashes" and the other shows an empty GUI window.
Never had a problem with RAR files before with any of the above packages, now they are all falling on their faces. Any ideas? Some other package I overlooked? Seems to be a new Debian 13 thing.
