Hardware • Nvidia GT1030 not working

I'm having lots of trouble with my GT1030 lately. I switched from the proprietary driver to nouveau sometime last year because the proprietary driver wouldn't get to the Display manager. Currently under noueau after Grub I see a blinking courser for a bit then the display goes dark. I get no video on any of the outputs. Tried installing the proprietary drivers and same problem as before. Even though the documentation says my card is supported. The only workaround I found is to switch to the Intel 82G33/G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller.

I use a 5.25" SATA drive bay to swap between boot SSD's. It's probably coincidence but the problem happened directly after booting my Windows 10 SSD and returning to Linux. I had not booted that Windows drive in a while and was not looking forward to it. I updated the graphics driver in windows and it actually seemed to fix an issue I was having.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?
