Why don't you just try it??
I would take the disk out of the second laptop and connect it to the first laptop. Then I would use clonezilla or dd from a usb-stick with a live iso ( I use the parted-magic iso but any live iso would do) and clone the first disk to the second disk.
After putting the disk back in the second laptop it should boot.
