Fine ideas, but as @eriefisher told, they can't make much business from linux-users.
As an example, there have been first loki, which made commercial linux games, but linux users in general don't use money for the software, so loki was transferred to a note in history.
Second attempt was the Linux Game Pupblishing, which Idea was to pack some windows games to linux.
I am very happy that bought the Knights and Merchants from them, before steam killed it. I played it through some 50 times![:lol:]( "Lough out loud")
So now there is steam, you can install it to Debian too, but I don't like the second OS idea, and the 32 bit hassle.
Generally linux-users know more from computer technology than a common guy using windows.
So before purchasing, good to search linux usage reports of the product. Some manufactrurers say their product works with linux, that's great, but they are not so many.
Also Linux does not support every product that now is in the shops. But linux supports much more devices than any other os. Not the newest though.
