For QEMU/KVM users (QEMU itself is also a type 2 hypervisor), even with virt-manager, doing the everyday chore even as mundane as copying-and-pasting (files, folders, texts, images, etc) between host and guests, can be a punishing undertaking. And you need different drivers for Windows and Linux guests. No Linux experts are willing to talk about this--by sharing their config files--to help simplify this task.
This has been mentioned a few times and I'm not sure what is meant!

With libvirt (qemu/kvm) there is no config on the host to make it happen, the agents needs to be installed in the guest, it should be that simple. I did post a zillion messages a decade back urging live distro devs to include the agents so users did not need to install separately, maybe that's the hang up? And don't forget drag-n-drop from host to guest desktop.

useful diag on host, guest host, and guest;

Code:

 journalctl -b 0 -g vdagent --no-pager
