I use VB since 2016 mostly in Windows (and since few years ago in Linux too).

So the unique disadvantages I found are:

• When the series changes (i.e 6 to 7 and 7.1.x to 7.2.x) and according how was installed (either .deb or Oracle's official repository) the dependencies problems rise

Yes, I read many times that QEMU/KVM and/or virt-manager are better than VB but It is on my “todo” list but due tight of time and since I have many years of experience of VB as host in Windows and Linux, it remains in standby …
