Hello,
I used Netinstall on a USB stick (which booted without a problem) to install Debian 12 as a UEFI system on another USB stick (the 'Target').

At the end of the installation procedure the Target system booted on my UEFI laptop OK.

I shut down, unplugged the Target and attempted to boot into the laptop internal Debian 12 system, but this failed with error message

Code:

'Secure boot is disabled ...'.
I assume you are booting with EFI, aren't you?

In this case, if you are installing Debian on an external disk (i.e. USB stick), you will need to format the external disc using the GPT partitioning scheme and install the grub in the external disk (i.e. USB stick, not in the computer's internal disk).

You may need to install grub in "fall back" configuration in the external disk (i.e. USB stick); see:Hope this helps.
