Hello,
We have an older computer that had Debian 9 installed on it when we bought it. I have managed to get it upgraded as far as Debian 9.13, cinnamon version 3.2.7, kernel 4.9.0-19-amd64, but I can not seem to get it to upgrade to Bookworm. I printed out the release notes (Chapter 4. Upgrades from Debian 9) and followed all of the steps. I think that is when it upgraded the kernel but that is as far as I can get. I found these instructions but I can't get /etc/apt/sources.list to run:
I just want to stream "Love Island" on my computer but can't because all of my software is out of date. Please help!

Run the command apt-get update && apt-get upgrade to update the existing Debian packages. Once done, restart the system.
Edit the following file, using a text editor:
/etc/apt/sources.list -> Replace every instance of the old Debian OS (ex. buster or stretch) with the newer version.
Update the packages index by running the command: sudo apt update
Once done, prepare the system for the upgrade by typing the command: sudo apt upgrade --without-new-pkgs
Finally, run the following command to update to the update Linux Debian: sudo apt full-upgrade
I just want to stream "Love Island" on my computer but can't because all of my software is out of date. Please help!
