Thanks for your kind help.xserver-xorg-video-intel provides a display driver (intel) that is an anachronism primarily existing to support ancient Intel iGPUs that the newer technology default modesetting display driver does not support (those older than Gen4 (2006)). Its last official release was 10 years and 2 days ago. Simply purge it, and it should automatically be employed on next X startup (unless there exists an override in /etc/X11/xorg.con*).
Unfortunately, "apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-intel" didn't solve my issue.
