I am a beginner with Linux and had this same issue of 'no bootable device' after installing Debian from USB wiping out Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire F15 laptop. I found I couldn't understand the instructions in this thread. But I followed the steps in this post (with pictures) https://itsfoss.com/no-bootable-device-found-ubuntu/ and that gave me a boot menu when I powered up. All is working now.
At step 6 I had more options on the menu than shown in the article, but I picked ubuntu anyway.
I hope this helps someone like me who is googling at every hurdle.
