Hello! I'm sorry for ignoring your message. I don't really like wayland, because there's no xmonad port for it and i don't really want to use hyprland(although i've used it on gentoo and it worked like a charm). I had constant flickers with sway and was too lazy to fix it.Prefer Wayland than X11 (KDE Plasma 6 defaults Wayland).
You can try an official Nvidia driver (the last is NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-565.77.run at this time) from https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/, more advanced version.
I had bad experiences using nvidia-driver 535.183.01-1: e.g. the video game Black Mesa lags a lot, unplayable (move the look quickly to avoid lag...), Serious Sam Fusion 2017 (beta) & Counter-Strike 2 have screen tearing despite VSync on.
I'm on Debian testing KDE with NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-565.77.run, everything OK (e.g. GTA V via Proton) except THE FINALS via Proton freezes after 25 minutes, probably a Proton issue.
For Wayland I need nvidia-drm.modeset=1, see https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers#Wayland.

The nouveau driver is reputed to be bad for gaming, e.g. I experienced stuttering playing Alien Arena.
Chrome Wayland: chrome://flags, Preferred Ozone platform, Auto.
About .run drivers: afaik it's not safe to use them because it may cause several issues.
Also i've managed to fix lags. The solution was to install compton via apt (lol). Now everything feels so good.
