Hello Everyone,
I still use an iPod Classic, Luddite that I am. I recently used Clementine to add some songs to it, and while it still functions normally via Clementine, the onboard UI states that the iPod is empty. And when opened through iTunes, there is a message stating that the iPod needs to be reset to factory settings in order to be used. Based on the research I've done, it seems that this is caused by the file not containing the FireWire GUID. I've added the GUID to the file, but it hasn't resolved the problem. Does anyone know if there are additional steps involved? Or perhaps adding the GUID must be done before transferring files? Or there is a different method that would work better? I realize there is limited interest in the topic at this point in time but any help would be appreciated.
