@Aki thanks for useful response. :)
What is the manufacturer and model of your SDD ?
Samsung SSD T5 500GB Model: MU-PA500B
Is the external SSD already shipped with the external enclosure ? Or are you using a third part enclosure ?
I am using original enclosure.
How do you shutdown the computer ?
In LXDE GUI I click Shutdown button. After computer turns off (and when the LED on the SSD goes out) I disconnect the USB cable.
Do you unmount the external SSD before shutting down the computer ?
I am booting the Debian operating system from this external SSD, so the operating system unmounts the partitions before shutting down the computer.
hdparm -y ...
Where should I put this command? In custom systemd service or in /lib/systemd/system-shutdown/ or ...?
