I've investigated business class refurbished notebooks in the past but could not justify the purchase given the spec differential. I recall Dell and maybe HP offering refurbished notebooks. I've helped friends configure a Dell refurbished notebook and a desktop. The Dell desktop from four years ago is still running today and the refurbished notebook ran for about 5 years before the HD finally died. Both friends were happy with their purchases, under $250USD each.
